Sport is better than war: Kyiv to host charity race in support of marines and cultural revival
KYIV, Ukraine — On May 9, 2026, the “Run with Europe” charity race will take place at the VDNH Urban Park. This event is a manifesto of indomitability that unites the ideas of peace, support for Ukrainian art, and real assistance to the front.
The main goal of the event is not just to overcome the distance, but to unite society around the values ??of support and creation even in times of trial. The symbol of this transformation will be unique awards: we melt shell casings into medals, turning instruments of war into symbols of sporting victory and peace.
Every kilometer and every contribution of participants is a direct step towards:
Technical reinforcement: Fundraising for the Workshop-Locker Universal Repair Complex for the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilinsky. This mobile workshop will allow you to restore equipment directly in the field.
Cultural support:
Popularization of art and cultural values ??as the foundation of our identity.
Sports diplomacy: Demonstrating to the world our indomitability and sincere desire for a peaceful future.
National memory: Honoring the feat of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, whose struggle for Ukraine's European choice continues today on the front.

Distances for everyone: 5 km and 10 km run, Nordic walking, children's starts.
Art zone: exhibitions and performances that emphasize the connection between sport and culture.
Charity fair: where each lot brings you closer to purchasing a Workshop-Locker.
“We run to show: life and creativity are stronger than destruction. Our medals, cast from the metal of the shells, are a memory of the price of freedom and faith in a peaceful tomorrow that we are building together with our defenders,” the organizers note.
